Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, and that means “The Muppets” will finally be in theaters! Perhaps this new clip from the movie will make the wait a wee bit easier. Several more are available at the MuppetStudio YouTube Channel.
The LA Times is reporting that Academy Award winning writer Michael Arndt has been tapped to write the Phineas and Ferb Theatrical film due out in 2013. Of course, a Disney Channel Phineas and Ferb movie aired this past summer, but this will be the duo’s first trip to theaters. Arndt won his Oscar for writing “Little Miss Sunshine” and was nominated again last year for “Toy Story 3.”
Entertainment Weekly has the first shots from Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie.” The original short film was a live-action, black and white oddity that Burton made during his time with Disney early in his career. Here’s a fun mashup I happened upon that mixes characters from Disney animated films with Robert Rodriguez’s film “Sin City.” Thing is, “Sin City” was already a Disney film…released by Miramax offshoot Dimension Films while still under the Disney banner.

Here is the long-awaited trailer for Marvel Studios big kickoff for next year’s summer movie season, “The Avengers.” I am still a bit confused over why the Paramount logo is on this trailer. I was under the impression that this would be released under Disney. Not like it matters anyway…Marvel is Disney, after all.
